How to quickly calculate the driving range of ebike battery

The battery driving range is positively correlated with the battery capacity. Generally speaking, the larger the capacity, the farther the driving range. However, larger capacity batteries will also increase in size and weight, and the excessive volume may cause some inconvenient issues during use.

The precise calculation of battery driving range is accurate for us but overly complex. If you only need a rough calculation result, you can multiply the battery capacity by 3 and then subtract 3 to calculate the battery driving range. For example, if your battery capacity is 20Ah, then your approximate driving range is 20×3 = 60, and 60 - 3 = 57 (km).
If you want a more accurate calculation result, you can refer to the formula: Driving range = (Battery voltage × Battery capacity) ÷ Motor power × Speed. For example, if your battery is 48V20Ah, the motor power is 400W, and the driving speed is 25km/h, the calculation of the driving range is as follows: 40 × 20 ÷ 400 × 25 = 60 (km).
However, all the above calculation methods are under ideal conditions. In our daily driving, other factors such as road conditions, weather, and battery status will also have an impact, so there will be small errors.
