First, you need to confirm the parameters of the battery, including voltage and capacity.
Select the charger voltage according to the battery voltage, and then choose the charger current based on the battery capacity. In order to avoid prolonged charging time that may cause inconvenience in daily life, it is generally recommended to limit the charging duration to no more than eight hours.
Calculation formula: Capacity (Ah) ÷ Time (h) = Current (A)
For example, if a battery parameter is 48V20Ah, then its charger parameter would be 48V, and the capacity 20Ah divided by 8 hours equals 2.5A. The charger current parameter should be rounded to the nearest integer. According to the principle of not exceeding 8 hours, we need to round up to a larger number. Therefore, the charger to be equipped should be 48V3A. If equipped with a 3A charger, the charging time can be calculated as 20/3, which is approximately 6.6 hours.
If you want a faster charging speed, it is recommended that you choose a 48V 5A charger. It will take only four hours to fully charge the battery.
